Ever wanted to build the engine that keeps millions of documents flowing without a hiccup? We’re hiring a Senior Software Engineer in Austin to own a mission-critical document-rendering microservice, written in Go and backed by Postgres, that turns templates, reports, and exports into reliable, lightning-fast delivery at serious scale. You’ll take a Rails monolith and break it into something clean, modular, and a joy to work in, setting the patterns and standards the whole team builds on, and ship work that people across the company (and our customers) notice. If you get a kick out of elegant solutions to gnarly problems, you’ll fit right in.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will provide hands-on engineering to design and maintain this high-performance codebase using Golang and a Postgres backend. You’ll partner closely with cross-functional teams—including engineering, product, architecture, and infrastructure—to gather requirements, ensure system reliability, and deliver customer-centric solutions with measurable business impact.
You will influence technical direction, uphold code quality, and accelerate Procore’s ability to deliver a world-class file services platform at extreme scale.
This position reports to a Software Engineering Manager and is a 2 days per week hybrid role in our Austin, TX office.
