Principal Technical Account Manager

• Engineering Graduate.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant hands-on experience as an Oracle DBA with proven project management capabilities.
• Excellent core Oracle Database skill sets with hands-on proficiency across versions 11g, 12c and 19c.
• Extensive experience delivering database performance tuning, major upgrades, cross-platform migrations, backup and recovery, and ongoing maintenance.
• In-depth knowledge of critical database options including RAC, ASM, and Active Data Guard.
• Strong incident and problem management skills with the ability to devise reliable workarounds during crisis situations.
• Demonstrated leadership in planning, governing, and managing large, complex Oracle Database installations, migration projects, and customer engagements.
• Proven ability to serve as a hands-on technical lead while directing project milestones and technical teams.
• Excellent verbal, written, and stakeholder communication skills.
• Collaborative team player with strong cross-functional coordination abilities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the lead Technical Account Manager and technology authority across large customer engagements, providing both hands-on technical direction and overall project governance.
• Plan, manage, and execute end-to-end database projects, including major version upgrades across 11g to 19c, complex platform migrations, and large-scale installations.
• Oversee and deliver core DBA operations, covering database performance diagnostics, proactive tuning, maintenance schedules, and robust backup and recovery strategies.
• Design, configure, and maintain high-availability and disaster recovery architectures leveraging core database options such as RAC, ASM, and Active Data Guard.
• Lead incident and problem management efforts, identifying root causes and rapidly implementing workarounds during mission-critical crisis situations.
• Define project milestones, track deliverables, manage risks, and coordinate cross-functional delivery teams to ensure on-time project execution.
• Act as the primary technical point of contact for customer leadership, conducting operational reviews and communicating project status and technical solutions effectively.
• Collaborate closely with customer engineering teams and internal stakeholders to drive technical excellence and maintain high customer satisfaction.
