About the Role
We are looking for a senior power engineer to define the rack-level power delivery architecture for high-density AI computing systems.
You will establish the rack power budget and define distribution from the facility input all the way to compute and networking components, balancing efficiency, transient response, reliability, thermal impact, and mechanical constraints. Detailed PDN simulation and signal/power integrity analysis are performed by our SI/PI team; this role owns the architecture, the requirements, and the technical review of vendor and partner designs.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and allocate rack-level power budgets across compute, networking, cooling, and auxiliary loads
- Develop the rack power distribution architecture, including busbar, power shelf, and tray-level distribution
- Define power delivery requirements in coordination with package, silicon, and board teams
- Define transient response and power quality requirements for high-current accelerator loads
- Evaluate high-voltage rack power distribution options and redundancy schemes
- Assess the impact of power density on mechanical and thermal architecture
- Define technical requirements for power vendors and technically govern their designs
- Support CM/ODM partners through prototype builds and production
Minimum Qualifications
- Extensive experience in power architecture for servers, data centers, AI/HPC, or other high-density computing systems
- Strong understanding of rack-level power distribution and power conversion topologies
- Experience with high-current power delivery and PDN behavior
- Understanding of data center power infrastructure and power quality requirements
- Experience defining technical requirements for external vendors
- Excellent English communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with racks above 100 kW
- Experience with 48V busbar distribution
- Experience with OCP ORv3 or ORW power architectures
- Experience with backside power delivery or integrated voltage regulator (IVR) integration
- Experience with high-power transient mitigation
