The Impact of an IT Systems Administrator at Coupa:

As the IT Systems Administrator, you will serve as the strategic and technical architect of our enterprise cloud infrastructure. This high-visibility role requires a seasoned professional capable of managing complex multi-cloud environments across Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Amazon Web Services (AWS), while providing white-glove support to a diverse user base, including C-suite executives. You will ensure our infrastructure is secure, cost-effective, and deeply integrated into our business workflows.

What You'll Do:

  • Strategic Administration: Lead the configuration and governance of multi-cloud environments across GCP, AWS, and Azure. Establish best practices for identity and access management (IAM), network architecture, and global security settings.
  • Executive Support & Triage: Provide high-touch, "white-glove" technical support for leadership. Oversee the triage of complex service and help desk tickets, ensuring infrastructure initiatives align with executive priorities.
  • Vulnerability Management: Own the enterprise vulnerability management program end-to-end — identify, prioritize, and remediate vulnerabilities across cloud and on-premises systems, coordinate patch cycles, and maintain compliance with security frameworks.
  • Financial Stewardship: Manage the full lifecycle of cloud licensing and spend across GCP, AWS, and Azure. Analyze complex usage patterns to optimize ROI and provide granular cost-center reporting.
  • Vendor Partnerships: Act as the lead technical advocate and liaison with Google Cloud, AWS, and Microsoft, influencing product roadmaps and resolving critical service issues.
  • Advanced Reporting: Develop comprehensive quarterly business reviews (QBRs) for stakeholders, highlighting infrastructure health, spend forecasting, and vulnerability remediation metrics.
  • Operational Excellence: Design and automate provisioning workflows and help desk escalation paths to minimize friction for end-users.

What You Will Bring to Coupa:

  • Experience: 3+ years in IT Systems Administration or SaaS Operations.

  • Executive Presence: Exceptional communication skills and the "soft skills" required to support and influence high-level stakeholders and non-technical users.

  • Platform Expertise: Deep architectural knowledge of Google Workspace Enterprise, Anthropic’s developer console, and SSO/SAML integrations (including Okta).

  • Analytical Maturity: Advanced proficiency in data visualization and spend management tools to track $1M+ annual budgets.

  • Adaptability: A sophisticated understanding of the evolving cloud and security landscape, including LLM security, prompt engineering basics, and API-based integrations.

The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.
